Maniben old age Home

May 29, 2014

iFour Technolab believes that the true and full measure of growth, success and progress lies beyond conventional economic indices in building external relationships. It is best reflected in the difference that business and industry make to the lives of people. Through its social investments, iFour Technolab addresses the needs of communities residing in the vicinity of its facilities, taking sustainable initiatives in the areas of environment conservation, community development and education.

iFour Technolab encourages employees to volunteer for CSR activities, resulting in a self-driven approach. The employees serve their communities by investing personal resources and time. Our employees have always believed in truly making a difference to the world in which they live.

Social work is not done for financial gains or fame; it is for being socially responsible. One should believe his life should be lived for other not for oneself. iFour Technolab got an opportunity to visit Manekben Old Age Home on 24th of May. Team spent four hours with the people of the Old Home, talked to them about their life experiences.

There we had taken snacks, Buttermilk packs, etc. to distribute. Although we were surprised to see how wonderfully this old age home took care of the old women residing there. They considered us like their own children and showered the blessings.

We got an opportunity to share love and feelings with them who were either homeless or were neglected by children. We called them ’Baa’ (Grandmaa in Gujarati). Talking to them we realized that they were a little used to strange people coming to visit to interview them on how they ended up being there. So only Kamblaben Baa told us that we could ask whatever questions we had. That’s when we learned that asking these questions about their life could make them even more depressed and so we conveyed that we were there just to spend some gala time with them and for their blessings.

We also got a chance to engage in different activities. We all sang devotional songs along with them and also played Antakshari, musical chair and chit chatted with them. We met a very inspiring lady who was a part of India’s freedom movement, Mrs. Motiben. She stirred in the spirit to always do the right things and being willing to face whatever situation comes in future. We also met Mrs. Saroj from Delhi who is an MBA but blind. She motivated us to work hard and achieve success. Looking at their enthusiasm and liveliness we got inspired towards living life.

The implementation of CSR activities by iFour Technolab goes beyond compliance and engages in actions that might further some social good, beyond the interests of the organization and that which is required by law. With the aim to embrace responsibility for the company's actions and encourage a positive impact through its activities on the environment, consumers, employees, communities, stakeholders and all other members of the public sphere. This visit to the old age home has been a great experience directing us to this aim.
